Kelly was between job interviews in her last semester of law school, marathon training with friends as a break from the books. Jason was finishing a milestone business fundraising event, also leaving him in need of a break... which for some providentially twisted reason, meant running marathon-prep workouts just for fun. On February 3rd of 2024, at a stop sign 13 miles into the run, Kelly complimented Mr. Shirtless & Sunglasses on his anchor bracelet. He invited her to a "Black Tie Attire Red Carpet McDonald's Catered" party. She slowed down to ask her friends what she didn't understand about his joke. They made her speed up again so they could party in case it wasn't a joke.

Three days later, Jason and Kelly are jumping into the ocean at midnight. Nine days after that, they're officially dating. And seven months after THAT, she's wearing four Irish Trinity Knots... two on the ring she's always worn on her right hand, and two on the engagement band Jason designed for her left hand.
